Six stands together are placed next to Rűja floodplain (2 stands), Sedas bog, Burga meadows and Vidusburtnieks (2 stands). These are meant for the visitors of the region and inform about the especially protected natural territory – Natura 2000 place of special values, natural processes, maintaining and the order of keeping. The size of the stands is 1m*1.6m and they are made after the single example of North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve visual style. We have already informed that last year several stands were made and the natural path near Burtnieki was landscaped in the Nature Reserve “The Meadows of Lake Burtnieks”. Not long ago the brochure about the Nature Reserve “Rűja Floodplain” was published, which informs even more about the special values of the nature reserve. In the nearest future it is planed to publish the booklets about the nature reserves “Burga Meadows” and “Sedas bog”. Around the Burtnieks Lake the infrastructure for tourists is being improved more and more, and Burtnieks becomes a great destination point for nature tourism lovers. The production of stands and booklets happens within the frameworks of LIFE-Nature projects “Restoration of Floodplain Meadows” and GEF/UNDP “Protection of Biological Diversity in North Vidzeme Biosphere Reserve”. The placement and further maintenance of stands provide the municipalities of the corresponding territories – the gratitude for the collaboration in placement of the stands to Jeras, Çrěeme, Sçďi and Valka parish municipalities, also to Burtnieks Region Vecate parish authority.
