The guidelines and examples for including natural resources – nature objects, biotopes, species and territories into the popularization of sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism. The examples of project has been commented and included by experts from Latvian Fund for Nature. Many of tourism objects and routes of dynamic tourism lie in especially protected natural territories and Natura 2000 sites. Not at once everybody has to meet with occasions when the popular natural objects were suffered, disgraced or partly tattered by influences which are caused by extremely high flow of tourists, or by pitiless and malicious, often subconscious, action of tourists (and visitors) of objects. Natural objects (included species, biotopes etc. unique environmental values), exhibition of whom to the tourists today can reduce to the extinction of them in the future, are popularized and shown in the promotional materials of Latvia’s tourism industry – booklets, guide books, web pages and portals, as well as in the publications of mass media about tourism. And it is in the situation when the number of local and foreign tourists grows every year in the state and also in Natura 2000 sites and in the separate natural objects – especially in those which are not with all amenities. It is a pity but many popular objects of natural tourism are not landscaped at last 15 years or earlier. To improve the situation or to prevent the separate occasions as well as to stimulate the organization of friendly for environment tourism and to increase the sense of environment in all levels – from the employers and the employee of municipality tourism information centre till the planners and fulfillers of different politics, the Association of Latvia Rural Tourism ‘’Lauku ceďotajs’’ with the financial support of the Latvia Environmental Protection Fund has started to materialize the project ‘’Sustainable employment of the natural resources in the offering of tourism’’. One of the main aspects in this project was to identify and show the positive (how the one of Latvia strategic tourism resources – natural resources are used) and negative examples of involvement of important natural objects, biotopes, species etc. in the rotation of tourism, of making of tourism product and its popularization. However the negative aspects are frequently observed in these positive examples and opposite. The main point of the project was to show on the basis of real existing in the nature examples the ‘’positive’’ and ‘’negative’’ practice of the tourism in the usage and popularization of important natural resource grounding on the current offer of the Latvia tourism product. Pity, but lots of nature object visitors are really with weak knowledge’s about elementary behavior in nature... Project resultas are presented here (on Latvian) đeit |
