Nature tourism product development seminar in Zemgale, 29th March 2011.

On 29th March this year in hotel “Kandava” was held first this spring seminar organized by LFN about nature tourism product development. 40 tourism businessmen, tourism information center employees and other interested took part in this seminar.

During the seminar Sandra Bērziņa from Latvian Environmental Protection Fund spoke about the usage of lichens – from old sayings to practical recipes. In addition Diana Meiere from LDF introduced everyone about the specific and diverse mushroom kingdom, their traditional and untraditional usage possibilities. In conclusion of this seminary every participant in the lead of lecturers of this seminar went to castle hill of Kandava, spent their time outside exploring surrounding lichen species and gained practical insight into the nature "monitoring" organisation process.

Thank you all, who took part in the seminar! We hope that everything heard, seen and learned during the seminar will give a new inspiration in tourism range diversification and will increase nature tourism product development.

Next seminars about nature tourism product development will be held on 26 th,28 th,29 th of April. Since at them lecturers will speak about any other plant and animal groups, we proudly invite you to participate in them too.
