NCM Office in Latvia project `Nature conservation NGOs in Nordic-Baltic region - working together` has come to an end
Latvian Fund for Nature together with Swedish Botanical Society, Estonian Fund for Nature and `Sustainable Development Initiatives DVI` from Lithuania implemented the project Nature conservation NGOs in Nordic-Baltic region working together financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers` Office in Latvia.
The aim of the project was to improve the co-operation among nature conservation NGOs in the Nordic-Baltic region and to identify the role of nature conservation NGOs in public biodiversity monitoring.
One of the activities was to carry out survey of nature conservation NGOs in each country in order to evaluate their needs and capacities and experience in biodiversity monitoring for general public. The publication `Capacities and needs of nature conservation NGOs in the Nordic-Baltic region and their role in biodiversity monitoring` is available as a downloadable pdf file here: ftp://viesis%40ldf.lv:firstname.lastname@example.org/
