The Latvian Fund for Nature arranges the election of Herb embassy

In the summer of 2007 the Latvia Nature Funds will arrange the election of Herb embassy. The project, which aim is to attract attention of the society to the protection of the wild plants, is a part of the international organization’s PLANTA EUROPA Europe campaign.

In the summer of 2007 the Latvia Nature Funds will arrange the election of Herb embassy. The project, which aim is to attract attention of the society to the protection of the wild plants, is a part of the international organization’s PLANTA EUROPA Europe campaign. As a result of the voting among the inhabitants and school projects, one plant from each region of Latvia will become an ambassador of  its region in the Latvia Herb embassy, telling about certain relevant aspect of biodiversity and friendly management.

With the project "Latvia Herb embassy for protection of biodiversity" the Latvian Fund for Nature  as a participant organization of  "Planta Europa" association takes a part in the international project of communications "Wake Up Call For Wild Plants", which will take a place in all Europe acceding countries in 2007.
