The public discussion of Raķupe valley plan

The public discussion of Raķupe valley’s nature management plan will be discussed in Dundaga medieval castle on 8th March, 2007. You can get acquainted with the protection plan at the Dundaga municipality or at the LNF’s home page (on Latvian) – here. The written suggestions can be submitted to the developer of the protection plan by the March 8th – The Baltic Environment Forum - 26/28 Peldu  street, Riga, LV-1005, phone number: +371 7357546.

Everyone is asked to participate in the public discussion of nature management plan. Since the end of 2004 a restoration works of floodplains take’s place in Raķupe valley, which is coordinate by Latvia Nature Fund within the framework of LIFE-Nature project "Restoration of Latvian floodplains for EU priority species and habitats". The financing is pegged within to the developing of nature management plan, which will prescribe priorities of nature protection in the territory and the correlation of nature and people for the next 10 years.
